How long we keep your data and when it’s deleted

Pneumapsyche is committed to only retaining your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
This policy outlines our data retention practices and explains how long different types of data are kept.

Account Deletion Process
When you delete your account, the following process occurs:
Immediate (within 24 hours)
- Your profile is deactivated and no longer visible
- You cannot log in to your account
- Your username is released for future use
Within 30 Days
- Account information is permanently deleted
- Private messages are deleted
- Profile data is purged
Public Content
- Posts and comments may be anonymized rather than deleted
- This preserves community conversations while removing identifying information
- Anonymized content shows as “Deleted User” or similar
Backups
- Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days
- Backups are automatically rotated and old data is purged

Exceptions to Deletion
We may retain certain data beyond normal retention periods in the following circumstances:
- Legal Obligations: When required by law, court order, or regulatory requirement
- Ongoing Disputes: Data relevant to ongoing legal claims or disputes
- Fraud Prevention: Information necessary to prevent fraud or abuse
- Safety: Data needed to protect the safety of users or others
- Preservation Requests: Valid law enforcement preservation requests
